Lifting Bariatric Patients Lifting bariatric patients requires special techniques and specially designed lifting equipment. Liko has developed the Ultra product series to help lift these heavy patients in a safe and comfortable manner. Together with the Liko lift system UltraTwin, Ultra Sling is used for lifting sitting patients. The system then has a max. load of up to 500 kg (1,100 lbs.), depending on which products are included in the assembled lift unit. Ultra Sling supports the entire back up to the shoulders. With the Ultra Sling's unique design, the leg supports are installed individually on the slingbar, which gives the stomach space and the legs optimal support. Ultra Sling is available in three sizes. We recommend at least two caregivers for transferring a patient with Ultra Sling. Fabrics Ultra Sling is available in polyester and net polyester.
