 Models 350 & 360 Comfort Sling Plus High provides a comfortable, reclined sitting posture. It adapts to the contours of the body without the need for individual adjustment. The Comfort Sling Plus is a so-called "full sling", which means that the patient remains in the sling after application and transfer, for example, to a wheelchair. A properly fitted and carefully applied Comfort Sling Plus High will give the patient a good sense of safety, as well as a high degree of comfort and good back support. The predecessor of the Comfort Sling Plus High, the Liko Comfort Sling High Back, has long been a popular sling that now, after a design change, has been renamed. Compared to the earlier Comfort Sling, the Comfort Sling Plus is wider and longer, which means that sizes now are somewhat larger. Thanks to the new design, the sling now gives the patient better sitting comfort and an increased feeling of security. The changes also mean that the distance to the slingbar has increased, which can give certain patients a better perceived sense of comfort. The Comfort Sling is the preferred choice of many amputees and patients who are particularly pain-sensitive, e.g., rheumatics. Comfort Sling Plus High, mod 350/360, provides for a more reclined posture than the lower Comfort Sling Plus, mod 300/310. In combination with Sling Cross-bar 450 or Side bars, posture becomes even more semi-recumbent. Comfort Sling Plus High is available in two sizes: Medium and Large. Large is wider and higher than Medium. In this case, choice of size is usually of little importance; both sizes can be used for both smaller and larger patients. Different Fabrics and Designs The Comfort Sling can be ordered in different fabrics and designs. When the sling is to be left under the patient for a longer period after completion of transfer, we recommend cotton or net polyester. The Comfort Sling is available with a padded seat (synthetic sheepskin) for patients who are sensitive to pressure. For bathing and showering, there is a plastic-coated net version, which allows water to pass through; it can be wiped off and dries quickly. For lifting to and from the toilet, we recommend the Comfort Sling Plus High with Hygiene Opening, model 360. Especially recommended for • Pain-sensitive patients needing to sit reclined in a semi-recumbent position. In that case, it can be difficult to remove and then re-apply the sling. Remember that: The Comfort Sling can be specially ordered in any of the fabrics in our assortment. Model 360 can be specially ordered with a smaller hygiene opening.
