Models 20 & 26

These are our most popular slings, since they provide comfortable support for the entire body and are therefore suitable for most patients. The design enables a comfortable, reclined sitting posture, which is ideal for patients with poor head and torso stability.

Model 26 is a further development of Mod. 20 and features a pliable “Soft plate” for soft, comfortable support, which is especially valuable when lifting from the prone position.

Both models have separated leg supports. This means that the patient does not sit on the sling after use. Instead, the sling is easily removed from the chair after the transfer.

Both models are recommended for lifting to and from the floor.

Different sizes…
Models 20 and 26 are available in seven sizes (XS - XXL). The design is ideal, since the right size will fit the patient well without the need for individual adjustment. For optimal comfort and safety, it is important to choose the correct size. A size that is too large increases the risk of the patient sliding out of the sling, while a sling that is too small will fit too tightly. Note that for Models 20 and 26, Small is a children’s size, while Medium-Slim fits slender adults.

…and materials
Soft Original Highback Sling, Mod. 26, is made of durable polyester, making it easy to apply and remove. Since the patient does not normally remain sitting in the sling after completed transfer, we usually recommend the Soft Original Highback Sling. Children’s sizes XS-S are made of teddy-bear patterned, warp-knitted polyester.

Original Highback Sling. Mod. 20, is available in several other materials besides polyester. Slings in cotton or polyester net are airy alternatives and can be left in the chair after completed transfer. For bathing and showering, a version in plasticized net fabric lets the water run through and can be wiped dry.

Select leg supports according to needs
Soft Original Highback Sling, Mod. 26, is equipped with reinforced leg supports that provide a high degree of comfort, distribute the pressure and prevent the leg supports from bunching under the thighs.

Soft Original Highback Sling, Mod. 20, is available with several different versions of leg supports.
• Leg supports with reinforced inserts are the most common. These provide a high degree of comfort, distribute the pressure and prevent the leg supports from bunching under the thighs.
• Fabric leg supports without reinforcement make the sling extra pliable and easy to care for.
• Soft padded leg supports (synthetic sheepskin) for particularly pressure-sensitive patients.

Alternatives
As an alternative to Original Highback Sling, we recommend Silhouette Sling, Mod. 22. For lifting to/from the floor, Comfort Sling Plus, Mod. 350, can be a good alternative.
