We have also had great success internationally, and the exports increases continuously. All lifts are developed, assembled and tested at the headquarter in Alvik, Sweden. We have also had great success internationally, and exports increased dramatically throughout the ’90s. They continue to increase. Today, we are market leading in the Nordic region and we have nearly 20% of the world market. Liko now employs more than 200 people in our own companies worldwide. Much of our manufacturing is outsourced to suppliers and sales are largely managed by our distributors.<br> <br></P> <H1>Gunnar Liljedahl, Liko’s founder</H1> <P><br>Gunnar Liljedahl founded Liko more than 20 years ago. As an engineer and designer of special assistive devices with the Norrbotten County Council, he had daily contact with people in need of assistive devices, mainly for lifting.
